The LogicGem knowledge base contains articles with technical information for system administrators and end-users. It provides answers to common questions and solutions for issues you may encounter when using LogicGem.
- Supported LanguagesLogicGem has the ability to compile a decision table into human-readable text and application source code. For documentation purposes, LogicGem can generate text to describe the rules defined in the table. Software developers can use LogicGem to generate source code that is compatible with their programming language of choice.
- How to Install LogicGemWhen you download LogicGem, the installer is found inside a ZIP archive named logicgem4-win32-setup.zip. This archive contains two files, the installer executable (.exe) and a readme.txt file which provides some general information about the installation package. We recommend you make a backup copy of the ZIP file so you can reinstall LogicGem if needed.
- License RegistrationWhen you purchase a LogicGem license, you will receive an email from our sales team which contains a product serial number. If you are installing LogicGem for the first time, or reinstalling it on your workstation or laptop, you can enter this serial number as part of the installation process. - Installation ErrorsDuring the installation of LogicGem, an error message similar to “The system cannot find the file specified” may be displayed and the installation fails. This typically occurs after you have accepted the license agreement and entered your license information, when the installer begins copying files to the local system.
- Anti-Virus WarningsIf your anti-virus software detects a virus in the LogicGem installation package, it is likely a false-positive report made by the heuristics engine in the software you are using. We routinely verify that our installers are safe by submitting them to VirusTotal, which scans them using multiple anti-virus engines.
- SmartScreen WarningsMicrosoft Defender SmartScreen is a security feature of Windows which is designed to protect you from potentially dangerous websites and downloaded files. This warning does not indicate the LogicGem installer or application files contain malware.
- System RequirementsLogicGem 4.0 supports all modern Windows desktop and server platforms. We recommend you install the latest security updates from Windows Update that are available for your system.
